My 8-year-old daughter stopped eating her cereal this morning to make an announcement.
“There’s something in Cinderella that doesn’t make sense.”
I replied the way any mom would. “Oh, yeah? What’s that?”
My daughter looked at me thoughtfully. “Well, there’s a lot of things this person tries to do. The little…ummm… Well, I don’t think she’s a witch, but she does all this stuff and all she ever says is Bippity Boppity Boo.”
That’s the point where I was not sure what I was supposed to say. I combed through all the possible answers that had popped into my mind and picked out what I thought would be most appropriate. “Bippity Boppity Boo just doesn’t seem like enough to do all that, does it?”
”No!” my daughter replied, and she went back to eating her cereal.
Apparently I had given the right answer.
