The Whole Story
Written by admin on June 25th, 2007Well, my garden has officially reached “jungle stage.” Things have grown so big and so thick, my little goldfish think they are in the Amazon. ~:-D
However, I can show you one portion of the garden that remains graceful.

I have not written in a while. I know I have readers who visit me here daily. I really appreciate that!! If you have visited and wondered what is going on, I’ll tell you. Life has demanded that I get a real JOB again.
Homeschooling? Yes, where in the world do I stand on homeschooling right now… I am the first to say that working AND homeschooling is just too hard.
Life has dealt us (my husband and me) a hand through the years that has kept us always just on the shallow end of “comfortable.” We have had many emergencies that have drained what little savings we had, and yet we are so thankful for healthy children and a home to live in. I honestly cannot complain about having to work.
This may be a good time to throw in one of my pet peeves. It’s women who have had the luxury of staying home with their children, without having to work, with good benefits, a loving husband with a good job, healthy children, and income enough to shop when they want to, and they complain about little things. They complain.
I’ll get back to the homeschooling issue here. My two oldest will truly be products of a mostly homeschool education. My two youngest will have, hopefully, the best of both worlds. They have had a superior public education in the early years. We do many fun homeschool things here at home with them. They will have the full choice to homeschool for high school. It just seems to be what works around here. The elementary and middle school we are able to utilize is just awesome. I cannot say enough good things. I could not do better than they do. I could not provide what they provide. I could not find better friends for my children than the children who attend this school. How lucky am I??
High school may be a different story. If they are to make it at the high school they will have to attend, they will have to be tough-shelled and peer-pressure-resistant. My husband says they may have to homeschool whether they want to or not.
I love my new job and I feel very good about how things are working out. I am a thankful girl.

Shauna, thank you! I am learning this totally new job and I am exhausted, but I love it. There are perks that this job offers that I was not aware of that I am so excited about as well! Think organic food. ~:-D
I must admit I am saddened at how this will cut into my time with my family, but they are the reason I am doing it. There must be a reason for it all.
