Clutter Bug
Written by admin on August 31st, 2007That’s what I am, I suppose. I dig in my garden. I find old things. I keep them. My house was built in 1921 and the land was part of a plantation that was much older than that. I find odds and ends. Old bottles. Very rarely an old coin. Springs from mattresses. Pieces of old plates and cups. I once even found a whole porcelain puppy. Not even a chip in it.
This is a tray of the latest stuff I have dug up. Nothing special in this. Just makes me wonder. Whose hands held it? Who used it? What’s the story?

Oh Lynn…I love it! We’ve been finding lots of old items from the past, that have wiggled up through the earth in our yard! We found an old spoon…we’re thinking the farmer who originally lived here, must of had a bowl of ice cream and dropped his spoon! I loved your idea of sharing it on your blog…and if you don’t mind…I think I might use your idea and share our findings, too!
From your archelogist pal, Ivy!

Ivy, you have so many neat things on your blog, I would love to see what treasures you find! I am posting a couple more things today. I think it is just so much fun to search outside, and I know you feel the same way! You never know what you’ll find!
