Home Sweet Home
By Lynn, on September 26th, 2007
I have been gone for about the last five days, and it is so nice to know that I was missed!! I was cheered to log on and see that my friend Michele had given me the “You Make Me Smile” award! Cool! 8-D

I feel so honored to be adding this award to my sidebar! ~:-D
Thank you Michele!
Anyway, I have been out of town, and we had a wonderful time, but it did have to end at some point and bring us back home. Yes, there’s no place like home, but I sure was having a nice time away!! I think we all were.
The drought let up a bit with the rain we had before we left. I noticed some beautiful dandelions in the yard when I returned. I supposed at first that only I would rejoice over weeds, but actually I know there are other herablists out there who know just what I am talking about. I had a nice detoxifying infusion on Monday evening.
I am going about putting things back in order today, so I better get busy! More later!

About Lynn
I am the mother of four delightful children: a 23-year-old son, a 20-year-old son, a 17-year-old son, and a bright and bubbly 13-year-old daughter. I share an apartment home with my 17-year-old son and 13-year-old daughter. My little home on the internet is called Rose Cottage because of my love for gardening, roses, and all things romantic and Victorian. Welcome.
I'm a North Carolina girl and I love sharing North Carolina links and information. I do medical transcription from home. My hobbies include making sweet little dolls from clay who are named and have their own stories to tell. I also make old-fashioned brooches. These are for sale in my Etsy shop.
For 13 years continuously, I homeschooled some or all of our four children, but the time came that our homeschool had to be closed. It was the end of a beautiful chapter in my life. I will always be a strong supporter of homeschooling and I will continue to review books and maintain my homeschool website, The Healthy Homeschool.

My Symphony
To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not rich; to study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly; to listen to stars and birds, to babes and sages, with open heart; to bear all cheerfully, do all bravely, await occasions, hurry never. In a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common. This is to be my symphony.
William Henry Channing

Sow an action, reap a habit.
Sow a habit, reap a character.
Sow a character, reap a destiny.
