Happy New Year!!
Tuesday, January 1st, 2008What better New Year’s wish could I send you than this…

Do you have New Year’s resolutions? I do. As always. Quite a few of them!
To top the list, of course, is my strong feeling that I need to spend extra time with my daughter in 2008. Our doll house is one means to accomplish this. More than playing, I’ll be sharing thoughts with my daughter about building and keeping a home. I’ll need a lot of help from the book of Proverbs. You can read my thoughts about it here: The Year of the Doll House.
It’s my desire to dig deep into the book of Proverbs through the year of 2008.
My husband has said that in 2008, our shared goal is to pay off all debt and rearrange our earthly commitments so that I can be back home full time. I am honored to work for that! From that goal, however, stem many more New Year’s resolutions.
Find a viable alternate medical insurance option.
Budget, budget, budget. Whatever corners we are not cutting already, they have to be cut. We need to teach our children better about this, too: don’t waste utilities, take care of yourselves, save your money, take care of your clothes, and so on and so on…
Save, save, save. We need to have our emergency fund fully built up.
My last goal ties in with my being home again full time. There’s a lot of work in keeping my websites running, with no broken links, fresh information about what has worked in our homeschool and what has not, book reviews, new graphics, etc.
One website is The Healthy Homeschool.

The other is Innately Gray.
Some of my income is generated from sales through my websites. I am committed to continued work on them, but I want to keep a healthy balance so that I am not spending too much time on line. That’s a tough one!
I might add here, ever so humbly, just in case you didn’t know (because many people still don’t — especially friends and family), that when you shop Amazon or any other affiliate links though my websites, you are helping!
I also have a couple of cottage industry-type businesses that take time and effort–namely, the mosaic birdbaths, gardenware and plants. I am committed in 2008 to working on them daily. I want to make my birdbaths really, really beautiful.
Here’s hoping that you have some quiet time to gather your thoughts and make your own plans for 2008. Here’s to your Health and Happiness in 2008.
Lynn
