Five Cookies + Slim Life Tea = Weight Loss?
Monday, May 5th, 2008Uh, I don’t think so. Someone take this box away from my sight, please.

I beg you.
I’m not sure what it is about these cookies. I hate Oreos because of the stuff inside them and the film it seems to leave in my mouth. Actually, as a general rule, I am pretty much able to abstain from significant quantities of any kind of junk foods. So what is it about these all-natural Oreo look-alikes?
Is it my age? Does middle age make you eat five cookies and then say you’ll never eat anymore, but then the next time you walk past the box, you think just one more…
It’s my new personal challenge to learn to eat just one cookie and then put the box away. Folks, if it doesn’t work, I may have to quit buying them.
So I get out this…

Will this negate any hip-expanding effects of the cookies??? My heart says of course it will. My mind says sorry, no.
Oh well. After a long day spent in orientation for my new job, I walked out into the garden. We had a bit of a shower this afternoon.

A lone ant sits in a pink evening primrose bloom.

Splashes of rain shine on columbine leaves.
After my garden walk, I had the clarity of mind to know that only one thing burns up cookie calories. Exercise.

Do your children appear when you exercise? Do they laugh? Do they ask what you are doing? Do they ask you are you having fun? Mine do.

I feel better now. The cookie box is closed up. No more for today. I promise!
Just for the record, my very favorite workout DVD is the Winsor Pilates 20 Minute Workout DVD. Now really. If I don’t have 20 minutes, something’s wrong.
