Filling Up A Day

Whew, the day’s over!  The work day and the playtime afterwards!  I know it’s hard to imagine, but it takes discipline to make oneself sit for 8 hours in a chair in one’s home and type.  I mean there are so many other things that I could be doing, but I can’t:)

At least I get to take my breaks and lunch in my own garden, right?  And, well, with three little kittens hanging out in the garden, it’s so much fun right now!  Does the little kitten, above, look like her mother, Fluffy?

The sun was so bright, the little one can hardly open its eyes.  Well, it can hardly open them anyway.  The kittens are only weeks old.  Fluffy is taking such good care of her family.  She drinks a lot of water these days.

She comes frequently to one of my birdbaths to drink.  I’m just so glad we found out the kittens were safe.  We’d been wondering…

The garden is turning into a jungle.  I knew it would, but I’m always amazed all over again when it starts to happen.  Here is a link to a big picture of part of the garden.  Like I said, it’s big.  You may get an arrow in the lower right-hand corner of the picture to enlarge it.

More joys of the afternoon included finding a patent leather beetle.  They’ll hiss at you if you pick them up.

We also watched a bit more of The Adams Chronicles.  Good series.  A lot of information.  There is some language, but I assume it was put in contextually.  There are parts that are very, very humorous and parts that are indeed sad.  It’s been good for us to watch.

Supporting Local Crafters

I try really hard to support local crafters, so any time I see some beautiful crafty thing that has been made locally, I try to purchase one or more if it’s something I can reasonably afford.

I cannot tell you anything personally about the owner of Southern Essence, but I did want to support her business when I came across some of her soaps in Youngsville at Hill Ridge Farms.  I purchased a bar of the Eucalyptus and it’s an awesome bar of soap!  The scent is wonderful and it lathers very nicely.  I’m picky about what goes on my body and it passes the test.  Also, it looks like the soaps are getting better and better, with even more soaps to choose from.

I’ve been wanting to put these pictures on my blog and share the link to Tricia’s website.  The option is there to order on line.  I know I’ll be purchasing more of her soaps.
