I was thinking of you in the garden today. Yes, you.

I was thinking that one can never have enough thyme…

to stroll in the garden, that is.

Look at the red-banded hairstreak!

and the liatris.

Black-eyed Susan. Summer makes bright colors!

Maybe more of crepe myrtle’s snow will cool things down.

Look at the insects hanging out underneath the Achillea bloom. Can you see them?

Top floor, please.

This Mason wasp (Mon0bia quadridens) knows what it likes.

A beautiful creature.

Can you get any bluer than this?
Anyway, we’re not blue, because we’ve had thyme in the garden today. :)

Love your flowers and that lil Oreo is the CUTEST thing!!
I just read that same quote about Thyme in a book about Tasha Tudor! Do you ever use Lemon balm in cooking or tea? If so what do you do with it?
Robin, thanks. Oreo is a Jim Dandy of a cat. Jumping and playing and meowing just right when you pick her (him?) up.
Cindi, isn’t Tasha Tudor wonderful? Or wasn’t she, I guess I should say. But I think she will be timeless and here always because of her work. I do use lemon balm in my teas/infusions. I take the fresh leaves, wash them off and pour boiling water over them in combination with other herbs to make tea. Sometimes I add a few in with just a steeping tea bag, to get something “green” in my tea.
