Hannah over at Cultivating Home posted a recipe for Orange Julius. As I commented to Hannah at her beautiful blog, I had forgotten Orange Julius even existed! Ever had one? We made a blender full today and what a yummy treat!

I took my break on the porch with my cold drink and watched the one kitten we have left. Two of the kittens were given to good homes. I didn’t have much say really, as the original owner of Fluffy found homes for them and then asked if I would oblige.
It could be a delicate situation if we let it turn into one, but I have always respected the fact that Fluffy was originally her cat, but took up on my porch and decided to have her kittens there; and my neighbor has always respected the fact that it was my family who cared for the kittens and fed them. It was nice of her to ask before just coming and taking them, and it was nice of her to let Princess of the Universe say which two could leave.

We’re keeping Oreo.

Oreo stays close to Fluffy, learning new things to survive in a neighborhood with a lot of houses, children, and other cats.
Have a lovely Monday evening,
Lynn

Hi Lynn,
I *love* orange julius drinks! Catherine used to make them and bring me a glass. I miss those – but not as much as I miss her.
Your garden photos and your love and knowledge of nature remind me of her too. You both appreciate so much of the beauty that God has placed in our lives. I’m so glad you share it!
I would love to talk to you sometime! Please call/email if you get the chance and we can catch up.
Love,
Leslie

Oh, Leslie, I know you miss Catherine. I can’t imagine how it must feel to look over at *her* house now. I am sure you two will always be friends though. Life gives us one season after another, doesn’t it and some are more comfortable than others.
I surely want to talk with you before school starts this year.
Lynn
