From The Pink Gate
Written by admin on July 31st, 2008A short while back, Louise over The Pink Gate had a give-away. I left a comment, of course knowing I might win (thinking I probably wouldn’t), but also just because she has such a wonderful, magical blog. Well, I won!

I knew the moment I opened the box, it was even better than I dreamed!

The journal was made by Kris at Blissful Elements, another absolutely beautiful blog! This journal is indeed blissful. I’ve never had anything like it. I think holding something so beautiful will improve my writing. How can it not? And wouldn’t you know, I do journal every day, and I am on the last two pages of my current journal. How amazing is that??

This journal is so sweet. So girly. So vintage and so whimsical! Louise and Kris, I love it!!

I can WISH on a star.

I can pretend I am a VILLAGE QUEEN.

Just look at this beautiful tag, wound round and round with beautiful vintage ribbon. And doesn’t everyone need a glittery silver star? And the pink glitter! Oh my!
Now, what I couldn’t believe is that Louise put in something special for our doll house! My Princess was amazed. Louise must have known we needed blankets in the doll house.

The dolls are snug under this beautiful, warm, handmade quilt. Thank you.

And Louise sent an exquisite piece of art for the little dolls to hang in their modest home. (Miss Priss attached it where she wanted it with a little piece of sticky-tack.)

She is adorable!

Oh, and there is a book for the dolls to read! How did you know they were interested in faeries?

Louise, I want you to know that little Princess of the Universe set to work straight away drawing faeries and baby faeries in the book so her dolls would have lovely pictures to look at.
Louise, thank you. Thank you ever so much!!
Lynn

Hi Lynn!
Thanks for the comment on my blog! I’ve been meaning to respond for the past couple days but I keep getting interrupted
…
I wanted to mention how much I loved the pictures you shared of your vacation. We’re hoping to visit NC in the near future as we have family down there!
Also my daughter and I will building a dollhouse of our own- she was so inspired when she saw your pictures! It will be a wonderful summer project I’m sure!
Take care!

Sage and I chuckled at the dolls snuggled in nbed under their handmade quilt. We are sure Ms. Doll spent much of her time working on this treasure. Oh, and Sage now wants a little tiny book for her doll house! Love it!

Amity, my daughter and I have really had fun working together on her doll house. I know you will love it! I think it’s something I’ll continue even when my Princess is grown. I hope she will too!
Patricia, your doll house is great. Ours, of course, is the bookshelf units turned doll house, and I have really been thinking of designing and building a doll house from wood.
