Remembering Tasha Tudor – August 28th
By Lynn, on August 25th, 2008
Story Book Woods is wanting us to remember Tasha Tudor. I think it’s a wonderful idea, of course. I first saw this over at The Pink Gate and I am so grateful that this was shared. You know how I feel about Tasha Tudor.

Visit Story Book Woods by clicking on the picture above and spread the word. We’ll be remembering Tasha here.
Here’s a link to the post on Story Book Woods on how to share in the day.

About Lynn
Approaching-50 mother of four. Thrifter. Content with lots of clothes bought for very little money. Loves retro. (That could be styles from the 40s and 50s. And sometimes stuff even older than that. And sometimes stuff from all time, all mixed up together!) Bluffs about decluttering but secretly loves STUFF. Goes through stages. Has standing and staring spells before rearranging the entire home. Just because. Tune in each day to see what new outfit comes home from G.W. Boutique next. (That's Goodwill, by the way.) Oh, and she owns a spoiled beagle named Annie. And this blog.

My Symphony
To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not rich; to study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly; to listen to stars and birds, to babes and sages, with open heart; to bear all cheerfully, do all bravely, await occasions, hurry never. In a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common. This is to be my symphony.

Sow an action, reap a habit.
Sow a habit, reap a character.
Sow a character, reap a destiny.

Oh thank you for helping to spread the word. Clarice
Ah yes…she is (still) such an inspiration. I am still enjoying the 2 books I checked out from the library…The Private World of Tasha Tudor and Forever Christmas….
Hugs,
Robin
Clarice, you’re welcome. I am just so thrilled to have found your blog!
Robin, you’re right. She’s still influencing people, and will for a long time to come.
Lynn
I love Tasha too. Her illustrations are so precious. This is terrible to ask, but is she still alive?
I came over from Robin’s blog. You have a nice place here!
xox Sharon
Sharon, thank you so much! No, sadly, Tasha Tudor just died in June of this year. I just don’t think everyone’s heard about it yet. I love her illustrations too!
Heading over to check out your blog.
