I realize not every home is as sophisticated as ours, but we have special thinking caps we put on to do mathematics.

I can only hope that your homeschooling has soared to altitudes that ours has.

Valentine’s GreetingsAbout Lynn
I am the mother of four delightful children: a 23-year-old son, a 20-year-old son, a 17-year-old son, and a bright and bubbly 13-year-old daughter. I share an apartment home with my 17-year-old son and 13-year-old daughter. My little home on the internet is called Rose Cottage because of my love for gardening, roses, and all things romantic and Victorian. Welcome. I'm a North Carolina girl and I love sharing North Carolina links and information. I do medical transcription from home. My hobbies include making sweet little dolls from clay who are named and have their own stories to tell. I also make old-fashioned brooches. These are for sale in my Etsy shop. For 13 years continuously, I homeschooled some or all of our four children, but the time came that our homeschool had to be closed. It was the end of a beautiful chapter in my life. I will always be a strong supporter of homeschooling and I will continue to review books and maintain my homeschool website, The Healthy Homeschool. Looking For Something?Recent ThoughtsThe Players

My Symphony
To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not rich; to study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly; to listen to stars and birds, to babes and sages, with open heart; to bear all cheerfully, do all bravely, await occasions, hurry never. In a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common. This is to be my symphony.

What an adorable hat!
See now, in public school around here…they would not let you wear a hat … just another benefit of homeschooling!

Hi Lynn – just stopping by to tell you how much I’ve been enjoying your posts and sharing the home school happiness! I’ve had lots of Blogger problems so my commenting has been compromised and posting very difficult.
Leaving for France Wed. Hope to post sometimes along the roads of the Minervois and Provence, and share Autumn pics.
Take care – enjoy Fall. I have a lot of garden clean up needed after the winds and heavy rains of the past couple of days!
Michele, Isn’t it just the cutest hat?
Mary, thank you for coming by. I’m sorry about the blogger troubles. I keep hearing about that from different ones. I hope you have an amazingly wonderful and safe trip to France. Cannot wait to see pictures!! Say hello to the Eiffel Tower for me!!
