Lynn,

I echo the other reader's sentiment. I have been on a trip out of the country to see family and upon returning I'm re-entering my life as I catch up on blogs I read regularly like yours. Seeing it again with fresh eyes, I wanted to encourage you to keep on - its a beautiful reflection of your life and a joy for us to visit. You inspire us all.

Love,
Denise

Louise, one of the things I most love about homeschooling is my daughter's excitement over learning. Oh she still has days where she doesn't want to "do" anything, but when personal interest strikes, it's amazing to see, and homeschooling opens up every day of the calendar for that -- totally!

Rue, thank you! You know I love your blog. I love that picture of "Big Joe" in my sidebar as well. He's dear to my heart!

Becky, thank you so much for your comment. I find my blog to be great outlet for me. I really enjoy blogging, and one of these days am hopeful that I can print it out -- the whole thing -- as a permanent record for my children. I am waiting for an easy, inexpensive way. LOL. I am glad you enjoy it and I appreciate you visiting!

Hi Lynn :)

I always enjoy catching up on your blog. Your life is so beautiful :)

The walk through the woods was wonderful! I love that picture of you and your son that you added to the side bar. He looks reminiscent of Charlie Chaplin :)

French toast... yum! I love it when Annie and I have the time to cook together. Winter is the best, because there's nothing else to do except bake ;)

Have a beautiful week my friend!
hugs,
rue

“It’s the simple things that are the memory builders.”

I like that line….

My son and I were just talking about that, how in school some ideas are not reinforced…
Math is built upon and reviewed year after year..
But other things are taught in a vacuum ..once said there done…

This conversation began because we were talking about the archaeology class he is now taking. .
He made mention how he never had a great history teacher, most were fact and date feeding so he took it in
and dumped it out on a test and than it was done…

He now has a wonderful professor that tells wonderful story about digs and history.
This is his favorite class and professor and laughed because his first test didn’t get the great grade that he is use to… but feels he is learning more and realizes that he needs to refine the note taking…
