Doll House Update
By Lynn, on November 28th, 2008
Do You Remember Year of the Doll House? I bet you do. This year of playing dolls and purposing to spend more time with my daughter has been amazing. Even though 2008 is not quite over, it’s been about a year exactly since the thought came so strongly to me. I have been so much more aware of my actions this year.

Our doll house adventures have taken on a blog of their own. We craft together and play dolls and we want to share everything doll house in one place. For more details about the crib above, visit our new blog The Homemade Doll House. You’ll find everything dolls there. The Year of the Doll House continues, for who knows how long!
Just wanted to share. We hope you’ll join us.

About Lynn
I am the mother of four delightful children: a 23-year-old son, a 20-year-old son, a 17-year-old son, and a bright and bubbly 13-year-old daughter. I share an apartment home with my 17-year-old son and 13-year-old daughter. My little home on the internet is called Rose Cottage because of my love for gardening, roses, and all things romantic and Victorian. Welcome.
I'm a North Carolina girl and I love sharing North Carolina links and information. I do medical transcription from home. My hobbies include making sweet little dolls from clay who are named and have their own stories to tell. I also make old-fashioned brooches. These are for sale in my Etsy shop.
For 13 years continuously, I homeschooled some or all of our four children, but the time came that our homeschool had to be closed. It was the end of a beautiful chapter in my life. I will always be a strong supporter of homeschooling and I will continue to review books and maintain my homeschool website, The Healthy Homeschool.

My Symphony
To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not rich; to study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly; to listen to stars and birds, to babes and sages, with open heart; to bear all cheerfully, do all bravely, await occasions, hurry never. In a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common. This is to be my symphony.
William Henry Channing

What You Do Sow a thought, reap an action.
Sow an action, reap a habit.
Sow a habit, reap a character.
Sow a character, reap a destiny.

Thank you, I’ve been pondering the Advent Conspiracy and wondering what I could “give” to carry the gift of time with each of my girls into the new year…something purposeful for fun!
I am going to make sure I find the time this week or maybe a little time each day to read your dollhouse blog…
You know how much I love dollhouses and dolls….
Louise
Michelle, I hope you enjoy your dollhouse adventures as much as we have.
Louise, I know you love dolls and miniatures and the like. One day I want to build and decorate an *unbelievable* doll house. Maybe when the kids are grown.
