Lynn,
I tried your planner suggestion. Last night I sat down and filled out Agendas for each of the kids. I had purchased these from Rainbow Resource at the beginning of the school year. We never really put them to use.
It took me probably an hour to fill out 5 agendas. I feel such relief this morning that no one is going to have to ask me, "What should we be doing today?" And I won't have to think of what they are supposed to do today. :-)
PLUS, I can just have them bring me their agendas with completed items checked off. I won't have to try to run down a mental list of what each child was asked to do when they are asking to go out to play or whatever. Yea!!
Well, I have today off so I'm going to spend it with my kids.
Have a great day!

Hi Lynn,
I wanted to say thank you for the inspiration to investigate the Charlotte Mason theory and 5 In A Row. I have been teaching High School English for almost 10 years now and am always looking for new ideas to enhance my students experience in the classroom.
I wanted to suggest a book you and the Princess might enjoy. The book is Seedfolks by Paul Fleishman. It is a wonderful novella that encourages community involvement through gardening. It also adresses issues of diversity and acceptance of people. My students use it along with a non-fiction selection entitled, Everyday Heroes. Thanks for the inspiration and ideas shared,

Hi, Lynn,
I noticed that both of the kids take Karate - mine do too. They'll be testing for their brown belts soon. It's a wonderful workout for them.
Have a great day!
