Valentine’s GreetingsAbout Lynn
I am the mother of four delightful children: a 23-year-old son, a 20-year-old son, a 17-year-old son, and a bright and bubbly 13-year-old daughter. I share an apartment home with my 17-year-old son and 13-year-old daughter. My little home on the internet is called Rose Cottage because of my love for gardening, roses, and all things romantic and Victorian. Welcome. I'm a North Carolina girl and I love sharing North Carolina links and information. I do medical transcription from home. My hobbies include making sweet little dolls from clay who are named and have their own stories to tell. I also make old-fashioned brooches. These are for sale in my Etsy shop. For 13 years continuously, I homeschooled some or all of our four children, but the time came that our homeschool had to be closed. It was the end of a beautiful chapter in my life. I will always be a strong supporter of homeschooling and I will continue to review books and maintain my homeschool website, The Healthy Homeschool. Looking For Something?Recent ThoughtsThe Players

My Symphony
To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not rich; to study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly; to listen to stars and birds, to babes and sages, with open heart; to bear all cheerfully, do all bravely, await occasions, hurry never. In a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common. This is to be my symphony.

I love your newsletter! What a wonderful idea!
And Chris, we love the doll name you chose. Michaela thought it was beautiful.
I do too.

I only knew about your blog until today. I was amazed at how much you have done with this after I went to your newsletter and realized you had a whole web site in addition to your blog. Congratulations on such a great effort.
I just loved Joseph’s poem. He paints a lovely and a slightly dark picture beautifully. Obviously he is better with words than I am. You must be very proud. Your daughter’s haiku was lovely as well.
Thanks, Ken. My website keeps changing, and growing slowly. I do what I can.
Thanks, Nicole. Yes, Joseph has a beautiful way with words. I’m encouraging him to keep writing. I believe that that will be what eventually makes him a great speller.
