Simple things I’m enjoying today, a work day.
A job at home, the view from my desk. a new hummingbird feeder and a rose strong enough to hold it.

A quotation I heard this past week; something to think on today: Your “I can” is more important than your IQ.

Roses from the garden. And my new old purple chair.

A volunteer rose bush, healthier and stronger than the picky tea rose that was once here. I dug it out. Was this a bit of root stock left in the ground? Where ever you came from, I love you.

Peonies, and the ants that love them.
Working is not my first choice, but I try to enjoy the positives. The money, for one thing! Insurance is also nice. It’s also a thinking time and a learning time. I used my breaks and lunch to do important things. My afternoon break was used to gather herbs for an infusion: plantain, Melissa, nettles, dandelion, a bit of yarrow, apple mint and chocolate mint, a bit of lavender and some cleavers. I’ll fill a large bottle to sip on this evening during karate.
What is your silver lining today?

Your curtains are gorgeous! Such pretty fabric. I bet walking through your home is a delight. I can tell you love your home.
my silver lining… i love that kind of focus♥
although being a single mom is not what i would have ever chosen for my life, it allows me to focus on my children exclusively. for example this evening amelia and i are going to have her favorite dinner and watch a movie together. married ladies must pay attention to their husbands on friday nights;)
Dear Lynn,
Hmm, silver linings? I guess there were lots of silver linings in the beautiful clouds in the sky! And we were able to work outside without getting blown away.
And my mom brought out lots of flower starts from her yard.
Hope your weekend is lovely,
Love,
Marqueta
My silver lining? Visiting your blog and cyber-smelling those beautiful roses!
