Saturday Morning Harvest
By admin, on May 23rd, 2009
The mulberries continue to ripen. The tree is full of mulberries. I read a little bit more in Mark this morning, had some green tea and peeped out the window.

I don’t know of any better therapy than picking berries. Actually there is one: picking berries with a friend.

Grab a bowl or a basket and join me.

Rosemary Gladstar said in her Family Herbal: “What we do and don’t eat, a healthy daily dose of exercise, good sleeping habits, and a positive perspective on life are the golden keys to a high-quality, productive life. ”

I can agree with that.

Enjoy some fresh air and nature today. Practice thankfulness and cultivate the habit of happiness.
Happy Saturday,
Lynn

About Lynn
I am the mother of four delightful children: a 23-year-old son, a 20-year-old son, a 17-year-old son, and a bright and bubbly 13-year-old daughter. I share an apartment home with my 17-year-old son and 13-year-old daughter. My little home on the internet is called Rose Cottage because of my love for gardening, roses, and all things romantic and Victorian. Welcome.
I'm a North Carolina girl and I love sharing North Carolina links and information. I do medical transcription from home. My hobbies include making sweet little dolls from clay who are named and have their own stories to tell. I also make old-fashioned brooches. These are for sale in my Etsy shop.
For 13 years continuously, I homeschooled some or all of our four children, but the time came that our homeschool had to be closed. It was the end of a beautiful chapter in my life. I will always be a strong supporter of homeschooling and I will continue to review books and maintain my homeschool website, The Healthy Homeschool.

My Symphony
To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not rich; to study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly; to listen to stars and birds, to babes and sages, with open heart; to bear all cheerfully, do all bravely, await occasions, hurry never. In a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common. This is to be my symphony.

Beautiful pictures! You always inspire me to get out more Lynn. Our garden seeds should be arriving soon! I can’t wait!
Dear Lynn,
We’ll be right over to help pick, if we can find a bucket or basket without crayons or pine cones in it!
The package was waiting for us when we came back from a little nature outing to the river. Suddenly the tadpoles and triops didn’t seem so exciting anymore! Thank you so much for everything.
Love,
Marqueta
Thanks, Jen!
Stepping outside for even a few minutes keeps me sane on my work days!
Marqueta, I’m so glad it arrived safe and sound! I was afraid I didn’t package it securely enough. We love being pen pals with you all!
