I wish I could say this post is of a serious nature. Well, maybe it will turn out to be very serious, in the long run.

Miss Annie is quickly thinking that it is she who’s the Princess of the Universe. My oh my how quickly the tables turn and the tiara flies to another pretty head. You’ve never seen so much attention lavished on one being.
In all honestly, Annie is quickly becoming a part of the family. She sleeps in Michaela’s arms like a rag doll.

She barely even opens one eye when she is repositioned or scooped up altogether at bedtime to be placed on her pillow on Michaela’s bed.
She has learned how to look at you just the right way when she’s tugging at your socked foot, squatting down and growling just enough that you say awwwwww and then take your sock off and let her have it. Who cares if it ends up with holes in it? Perhaps you’ll start a new fashion.
She’s half potty trained. She only howls when she really, really wants something. It’s very cute, mind you. (Remind me I said that about six months from now, okay?)
She only had two fleas, but she’s now been treated. (Tell that to the exterminator.)
So who do you think will be the real Princess of the Universe? Or is it a tie?
Lynn

Catching up with your ‘royal household’ dear Lynn. That’s one adorable Annie pup – lot of work though aren’t they?
As for you nursing a snake – brave you, I am terrified of them. That’s a lucky little guy you’ve saved.
Sorry to hear of your thyroid problem, I’ve been going through similar the past couple of months. So many docs, labs and tests – bottom line, enlarged thyroid (goiter) with 7 nodules. 2 largest biopsied and benign, thank goodness. (After cancer you worry doubly when something odd pops up!). Possible start of Hashimoto but no meds or surgery for the time being – will be checked in 6 mths. I hope SO MUCH you will start feeling better now you know the problem dear.
Your garden looks lovely – mine is pretty good too after all the rain. We re-seeded so it’s green again for a while. You will have fun with your greenhouse – lucky you having a carpenter as part of your ‘royal family’!!
Love and hugs – Mary.
Having been the owner of three beagles, my advise is to make the Beagles are hard to train and they must know who is alpha–really–truly! She is a darling little girl though.
Our last little girl beagle was named Clover, because she loved to eat them. She was amazing and could climb trees. She loved to hunt squirrels on our farm until one bit her in the nose. She loved to follow her nose (as all beagles do) and sometimes was found several miles away, lost and forlorn. Keep a good eye one your little sweety and a strong lock on the gate.
Dear Lynn,
You are indeed surrounded by royalty! What would we do without our princesses (and princes)?
Love,
Marqueta
I cannot talk with much authority here as we are living under the rule of one very spoiled feline.
It’s a wonderful way to live, though, I must say.

Hi Lynn,
It is definately going to be a race to the finish line! Maybe you could alternate “Princess for a Day!” Little girls and puppies are so cute it is almost impossible to deny them!
Enjoy them both as they will grow up so quickly!
Have an awesome day…
Diane
Awwww…she is soooo cute! Take it from me, a mom with a puppy who also “talks” when she wants something, the “cuteness” wears off when the little puppy voice changes.
