Little Autumn Garden

Today’s a work day for me, but I spied my little garden out the window this morning and of course will have my morning walk and tea there. Won’t you join me?

Cookie is waiting for you underneath the arbor.

We’ll sit on the porch near the bunnies and listen to them chew on their Timothy hay.  We’ll listen to the water bubbling in the goldfish pond.  Bring a cozy shawl for your shoulders.  It is fall, after all.

We’ll talk about books and flowers and our favorite teas and recipes as we breathe in the chilly air.  What kind of tea would you like?

I have appreciated your kind comments of late, so very much.  I will try to do some blog-catch-up this evening when my work is done.  I hope you have  a lovely Monday.  Enjoy this day.

  • What Lovely pictures Lynn,
I would LOVE to sit and chat with you…and either Chocolate tea or an Earl Grey tea latte some wonderful…or maybe even blackberry sage…
So, what is on the chat list…
I have not read many books lately…so I guess I would have to listen to whatever interesting tidbit you have read lately…about a month ago I re-read Stepping Heavenward…it is a delightful book…makes me wish I could have known Elizabeth Prentiss…I will have to see if I can find anything else written by her.
Well, I need to pop off…I am seriously wanting tea now and I am usually a coffee person…gotta shake a few bodies out of bed too!
    Cheerio…thanks for the visit.

  • Dear Lynn,

Ah, let’s see, how about a nice mint/sage mixture for a morning tea? I’ll gladly grab my shawl and join you (I’ve been dying to see the greenhouse, you know!).

I hope you’re feeling well today.

    Love,

    Marqueta

I always enjoy your blog, Lynn! Beautiful as usual! I’ll have a mint tea with honey or a spicy Indian chai with milk and sugar. Yum!
We are enjoying the lovely leaves fall from our sweet gums in the backyard. DH bought an outdoor fire pit last night and taught the older kids how to start a fire in it. Fun!

Oh what a delightful and restful garden. You must spend so much time in it for so many activities. Have you designed it yourself or was it like that before?
I have always loved this Tasha Tudor look garden.
    God Bless

  • Lynn, your garden is so very pretty. Thank you for sharing those peaceful spots!
I believe I would have a nice orange spice tea–my fave for outside drinking-esp. in the fall.
Enjoy the day and all it has to offer.

  • So pretty and peaceful!

Hey Lynn, thanks for stopping by. We are very busy until the end of the first week in December, but we expect to get back to a regular blog reading and posting schedule by then. We hope you are conquering all your health issues. Our thoughts will be with you.

  • Rute, thank you so much. Hugs to you. I will be over to visit soon. :)

Becky, I love chamomile tea. I had two cups last night.

Deanna, I liked that picture too. I’m glad the camera caught the sunbeams.

Amanda, you are so right! I’m glad you took a walk. I’ve been going out early in the morning with a cup of hot tea, Annie, and just enjoying the cool air.

Gae, thank you! I did design it, little by little, and I do spend a lot of time there.

April, wonderful tea choice! I can just taste the orange and spices.

    Jenn, thank you! :)

Thank you, Ken. The health issues are frustrating, but I’m thankful for all the other important things in my life that health can’t touch. :)

  • I love seeing pictures of your secret garden. English Breakfast Tea for me – Twinings – and let’s talk about ‘Books on Books’ – my latest interest! Have you read “1001 Children’s books to Read before you Grow Up”?

  • WOW I LOVE your little garden!! It reminds me of The Secret Garden, what beauty you have all around you!

  • Jeanne, I would love to have tea with you. Great tea choice, by the way. I have not read that book but would love to talk about books on books!

Trinity Mommy, thank you. It is sort of like a secret garden. It’s very small, but I love it so much.

    Lynn
