Connie, I am peaceful because we really never get snow and I know it won't stay. I don't think I'm really cut out for lots of snow all through the winter.

Shirley, I have a ton of ancestors from Scotland and I would LOVE to see Scotland. Maybe one day, and maybe you'll put pictures on your blog!!

Marqueta, you are so sweet! I wish so much sometimes that I didn't have to work. I feel like I just get my steam built up and then I have to stop taking care of things and work! Oh well, I guess that is part of taking care of things too! What I'm trying to say is that I have not mailed a thing out yet to anyone. Sigh.

Emily, we have pairs of cardinals that come to our feeders and I love watching them. There are indeed beautiful creatures. And white snow just makes them even brighter and more beautiful!

Kim, thank you! :) Now you are in a place in NC that would get snow. Our area gets some, but never too much. It seems that way up in the NC Mountains they get plenty each year.

Maria, I'm glad the cardinals are where you can watch them. I think it's good for the soul.

Jenn, that is so very true. I can easily discourage myself, but focusing on even little things that I have to be thankful gets me out of a blue mood.

Diane, I love using essential oils around the house. They do seem to just go with an old house. Well, I guess they go with any house! ;)

Leslie, we didn't get so much either, but it's so much fun to watch it fall, isn't it? Hugs to you.

Lynn, I was tempted to be discouraged today and decided that the cure I needed was to write down all the things I am thankful for. Having a thankful heart makes it impossible to throw oneself a pitty party! I enjoyed reading your thankful list.

I am so blessed...a pair of cardinals visit us quite often. My husband moved the feeder closer to the kitchen window and I get to watch them eat to their hearts content :)

I am also thankful for so many things...especially a warm house ;)

Have a blessed friday dear friend,

Oh, nothing cheers my heart like seeing Glory the Cardinal and his mate sitting in the lilac outside my kitchen window against a backdrop of white, white snow. It's like a kiss from God! Enjoy your cozy day, Lynn!

Dear Lynn,

Oh, it hope it snows for you! I would LOVE to see a cardinal in the snow, but that would be a rare sighting, indeed! We'll have to get our red from the house finches, instead :).

We sent your package off yesterday via Husband Post, so I'm sure it will get there soon!

Love,

Marqueta

Loved reading today's post Lynn. In South Africa we have a very sunny Christmas! We are relocating to Scotland in August 2010 and I am SO looking forward to the white Christmas that my heart has always yearned for.
Blessings in Christ
