Jenn, thank you so much for leaving another comment. :) That's exciting to start the new year with a new long skirt. I do love long skirts with blouses -- I especially look for long, white, romantic blouses when I'm out thrift shopping! Happy New Year! It's a work day for me today (New Year's Day) so I better move to my "real" desk, though I don't want to. I hope you have a wonderful 2010!

Lynn, not at all. I only have a longing to dress more feminine myself and needed a reminder to spend a little more effort on this, myself. I do appreciate your posting on this topic. In fact, my grandma called yesterday, asking if I needed a new outfit and so now I will have one new long skirt to start with. :-)

Oh, Jenn, I hope my post has not been worrisome to anyone -- to you. I didn't mean to make anyone feel badly. I think many types of clothes can look feminine. :) I do so love dresses, though! I find a lot of nice things at thrift stores, but I make it a point to shop in them regularly and that way I find nice things along the way. It does take time, and sometimes I don't find anything. I love leggings and have found some very useful ones on clearance at Wal-Mart, of all places. For me, it's a daily fun thing to pick out clothes in the mornings and sort of live in another time. I guess I have a big imagination. ;)

Lynn

PS - I don't have time to sew much, so we are in the same boat on that one!

Hello Lynn. To be honest, I would love to dress in a more feminine way, but can't seem to make the switch. I blame my size or my lack of funds to buy many clothes, but really, where there is a will there is a way. My daughter loves to wear dresses and leggings. I always try to tell her how much I love it when she wears them. I should try to be a better example to her. I have never felt very feminine and I know my appearance needs attention. Perhaps there are baby steps that I can take like trying to find some leggings or stockings and then look for a long skirt. They can be so expensive and I cannot sew. More excuses, I know.
Thank you, once again.

Hey MamaHen! Thank you. :)

Bunnies are not always cuddly. They can be nervous and hard to hold, but I love our bunnies. Some like to be held more than others. I hope you get a cuddly one. And if not, they are still fun to care for and feed.

You look beautiful Lynn.

We are about to embark on a bunny adventure. My Matt, our animal lover, is saving up his money to buy a hutch and rabbits. He is very determined.

Marqueta, animals really do give a lot and ask so little. I love my "creatures" great and small. Even the spiders and beetles and flying things in the summertime. ;) It is so much colder where you are. You are a braver girl than I am. I would freeze! It is harder when it gets cold, and I layer, layer, layer. I'm a cold natured person anyway.

Clarice, I can just picture your beautiful red plaid flannel nightgown! It sounds lovely! I like things like that too. I always check the nightgowns when I'm out thrift shopping, for some of them can pass for petticoats and slips and I love to find them like that! You know, one of the advantages of my job is that it's right here at home, so I could work in my nightie if I wanted to!

I admire your grace about working (I am afraid I would not be so graceful) you are such a blessings. Well do I also confess I love to be in my nighty when I am at home. I have a new red plaid flannel nightie with beautiful deep red lace trim and tucks. I wear that with a red wool shawl I knit, a pretty pin, smart wool socks and polar fleece pants underneath to keep me warm. Our house is sooooo cold. I have been wanting to make some flannel undergarments to keep me warm. But sewing clothes soo stress me,. We will see. Clarice

Dear Lynn,

How nice to have animal companions to make the days go smoother; they give so much love and ask for so little in return.

How nice that you will have perpetual feed growing under your rabbit hutch soon! Isn't nature wonderful?

The brooch pin is so very pretty~I need to get mine out and wear them more. Little details like that add so much to our appearance!

It's harder for me to dress pretty in the winter time, when my main goal is to keep from freezing to death! Really, some year I'm going to make lots of flannel petticoats and a find a nice, wool dress! I look for them at the thrift stores, but they seem to be in short supply :) .

A blessed day to you, dear friend,
