My walk this morning was so pleasant. We have very bright sunshine here this morning and a bit of its brightness was captured in every little drop of rain left on the spirea.

I have to tell you, I was searching for those daffodils I told you we’d likely have in February, and I found a few.

They may look like they’ll be blooming right around the corner, but it will actually take awhile for them to reach full height, and there are several varieties of daffodils in the garden, so they pop through and grow at very different rates. Some won’t show themselves until much later.

There is beauty to be found this time of year. It lies in things that perhaps we don’t see when other, more showy plants are in bloom.

Dear Goldfish, I am happy for you that it’s warm enough today to turn your pump on. I know you love the cheerful bubbling as much as I do.
The thermometer in my office window says actually 70. Yes, 70. Now that’s in the sun, so it’s not right, but the air this morning feels like spring. I took my shawl with me on my walk this morning. It’s actually in the high 40s right now, maybe even close to 50.

Ahh, the fun of testing out pins. Does dressing each morning get any better?
I hope you have a lovely Monday. My children will be working in the yard today, picking up sticks and putting them in a pile. We must make the yard neat for the not-so-very-far-away-after-all springtime. I’ll be at my desk working, sipping on hot tea, and dreaming of all the things I love.

It’s about noon and I am taking a moment to have a little lunch. I have the day off today in honor of Martin Luther King. So, I am visiting blog friends while I dine!
I have had a wonderful morning and although it is neither sunny or warm here I did get outside to enjoy some fresh air! I have pear tarts in the oven and chili in the crockpot. So the afternoon is all mine-I have a date with some sewing projects. i have something i would love to share with Michaela.
I emailed details.
The pin is sweet, I love the images you have been choosing.
Hugs,
Diane
Hello Lynn! Our Monday is lovely but it’s covered with about eight inches of snow. What a treat to see the daffodil spears peeking out of the soil. We have many varieties, too, so we can look forward to seeing them on into June. I have a pot on my kitchen counter filled with paperwhites that I’m forcing. It’s that time of year when I just crave the sight and smell of new blossoms.
The little pitchers are so quaint. I would love to get a tiny fountain for the indoors just to entertain our parakeet who loves the sound of trickling water. Whenever the tap is turned on, he begins his merry trilling. Puts me in mind of robins in the spring.
Have a blessed day in the Lord!
Dear Lynn,
Ah, beautiful! The hope of spring is a wonderful thing (Of course winter has its merits, as well.).
The pin looks lovely, as do the fungi and little daffodils peeking out of the mould
.
Love,
Marqueta
I feel as though we missed winter BUT Im very ready for spring!
Yes, the cycle is beginning here in TN too! I found some daffodils peeking their heads up under one of my dogwoods just over the weekend! I was so excited I just had to plant something, so I started some more parsley and basil on my back porch!
I always love your pictures!
How is the dollhouse going? I know it was the year of the dollhouse but wondered if there is ongoing progress?
Lovely photos as usual. I would love to sit and drink tea in your beautiful garden one day!!
Did you know I work in a medical practice? We could discuss the latest in medical transcription or something…not! Well, perhaps gardens and CM and homeschooling would actually be more fun when I think about it!
It’s warm here today, but nowhere near as warm as you have it there… lovely photos, as usual♥
And I wanted to let you know that I have linked to you from my sidebar. It will show whenever you update. Hope ya don’t mind too terribly much☺
Nice photos! Have you sold many things yet on etzy?
DianeM, the tarts were wonderful I bet! I hope you had fun sewing.
Emily, I forced paperwhites one year long ago. I should do it again. You have a lot of snow!
Thank you, Marqueta.
Trinity Mommy, me too! As usual.
Jonie, thank you so much! I imagine our weather is very similar. I am in the mood to plant too!
Becky, it is going well! Thank you for asking. I should post an update. I will soon, actually. It became such a fixture in our lives, we frequently make things for it and Michaela is forever changing the rooms around. She just made a couple of Sculpey things for the house a few days ago.
Jeanne, I would love to sit with you and drink tea. And I did not know you worked in a medical practice. I imagine if we got together it’d be the LAST thing we’d talk about.
Diane, how could I ever be upset about blog love.
Tonya, only a couple of items so far, both to sweet on-line friends. Are you on Etsy?
Lynn
The last two days here in OK have been warm, sunny and close to 50*. HEAVEN! It’s raining tonight, though.
Beautiful photos of your garden and lovely pin.
Missy, I love warm sunny weather. As much as I think snow is beautiful, and winter most certainly has its own beauty, I feel like a garden fairy when the sun comes out and the sky is clear.
