Ohh, it’s Friday, and you know it’s a work day for me. I’m fine, though. Really. I’m fine. Well, on second thought, I would love to be off today, but we can’t have everything we want. Can we? I am being really slow about getting to the work desk this morning, but I always have a routine I dance through before I start my work day. Hot tea, quiet time, taking care of animals, and checking the blog. Today I want to show you the newest pin I’ve been working on.

Do you think he’s as adorable as I think he is? I’m just wondering what to call him. Father Time? Old Man Winter? Rip Van Winkle? The Medicine Man? The possibilities are endless! My sons really enjoyed seeing this pin and they think I should make these little things not as just pins, but as decorations, like something you would just sit on a shelf to look at. Hmmm. We’ll see. The next pin will have an Herbal Medicine Woman. I am just working on her little face. These pins are just a touch over an inch tall, so sort of tedious working on the little bodies, but I do love it.

Meanwhile, this man needs a name, and when he’s done he’ll go in the shop.
I’m off to work now. I’ll be typing words like choledocholithiasis and esophagogastroduodenoscopy and about such things as robotically-assisted laparoscopic prostatectomies and lumbar fusions with instrumentation. I do love words, so I cannot complain.
Enjoy this day.

Very cute!!! You do amazing work my sweet creative friend. I enjoyed seeing you yesterday.
Praying that God meets you today right where you are and just holds you tight!
Love
Leslie
He is a darling little thing! My first thought was Rip Van Winkle, but it really doesn’t matter what you name him- he’ll be adorable anyhow. You know, a rose by any other name and all that;)
I really do need to get my own Etsy shop up and running. I really really do. I’m so intimidated by the whole process though…sigh.
Dear Lynn,
Audrey thinks you should call your little man “Algernon”
. I think he’s adorable! I love sculpting tiny things, too, but then you knew that.
Have fun with your lovely words; you would be hard to beat in a game of Dictionary!
Love,
Marqueta
when i first saw it, i thought of some character from the hobbit by j.r.r. tolkein, or one of his other books for that matter. the mushrooms made it seem “trollish” to me. or perhaps some character from a grimm’s fairy tale that takes place in the forest.
does that make sense?? or maybe i’m just a little weird?!!
anyway, i hope your day went well.
now that i thought about it, i think i meant gnome, not troll.
Hello Lynn! Hope you’re having a lovely weekend.
Naming things is so fun. I first thought your little man was Noah, but I really like the name Algernon. So old-fashioned.
Have a blessed day in the Lord!
He is darling, whatever you decide. I am not very good at naming things. I love the little mushrooms. Perhaps, you could use a similar background with a fairie? My daughter is enjoying making miniture garden gnomes out of clay at the moment. I am glad you enjoy your art as well.

Cute, cute, cute! I love hiom! Old Man Winter? Really, any of the names fit. What kind of camera do you use? I love your nature pics! Mine are very hit or miss.
You are very creative dear friend!
I am sure the name will come to you in time
blessings,
maria
Leslie, thank you! I enjoyed seeing you all as well. We have such a wonderful little group.
Diane, Etsy is so easy. I love it. It’s very reasonable too, so I don’t feel pressured to move things immediately!
Marqueta, Algernon is perfect! Thank you, Audrey!
Connie, we love Lord of the Rings around here. I know what you mean. He has a look other than human somehow.
Emily, I did think of Noah too!
Jenn, yes fairies too! My daughter, Michaela, loves working with the clay too. I think it’s a super medium for creating things.
Shonda, thank you! My camera is an HP Photosmart, something not made anymore. I have really loved this camera. I hope it continues to work well for a long time.
Maria, thank you!
