Diane, you are so sweet. I love to find things like that at the thrift store. They are harder to come by. My mom recently found a large cape that she took home, washed by hand and replaced the buttons on. It was really pretty.

Marqueta, you have a very good point there. Perhaps it’s one of the little things that helps me to hang on! And the tropics. Ah, who needs the tropics when we have sparkly snow?

We love the outfit and the cluttered counters ! I think that when we do our best to dress up at home, it somehow makes the clutter more bearable. At least WE don’t feel cluttered, right?

And sparkly diamond snow is a special blessing~makes you feel sorry for people that live in the tropics .

Lynn, you look so lovely and gracious! The shawls really make such an impression. Just before Christmas, I was fortunate enough to find a Lord and Taylor 100% cashmere shawl at the Goodwill and with all of the tags still on ittoo. The price? $6! Isn’t that incredible?

I’ve been wearing it as a sort of oversized scarf with my black coat, but I think I am going to follow your lead and wear it as a shawl from now on.
