About Lynn
Approaching-50 mother of four. Thrifter. Content with lots of clothes bought for very little money. Loves retro. (That could be styles from the 40s and 50s. And sometimes stuff even older than that. And sometimes stuff from all time, all mixed up together!) Bluffs about decluttering but secretly loves STUFF. Goes through stages. Has standing and staring spells before rearranging the entire home. Just because. Tune in each day to see what new outfit comes home from G.W. Boutique next. (That's Goodwill, by the way.) Oh, and she owns a spoiled beagle named Annie. And this blog.

My Symphony
To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not rich; to study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly; to listen to stars and birds, to babes and sages, with open heart; to bear all cheerfully, do all bravely, await occasions, hurry never. In a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common. This is to be my symphony.

Dear Lynn,
How lovely; we just gave the fish back to my mom that she gave us last year. A pond would be MUCH better than a tank! Yours look very content.
Love,
Marqueta
p.s. I found this blog post about Veronica persica and thought you might like it~ http://whisperingearth.wordpress.com/2010/05/18/speedwell-my-belle-may-blog-party/
Marqueta, I love my little pond. It is small (my neighbor has a HUGE pond) but I love it. In my case, it’s easier to care for and very cozy!
Thanks so much for the link. I look forward to reading that. I just skimmed it but have already realized now why I see so many varied blooms in the yard.
Thank you!
Lynn
My son would like to have a fish pond in the garden and I often said no. But after having seen those pictures; which look so quiet, I think I’m going to say yes…
Holly Day, I think you would love it! The key for me has been keeping it small. Really. They can turn into large, expensive burdens, but mine is small. I won’t lie, I dream of a large goldfish pond, but so far I have been able to care for a small one very easily and the fish do well. I guess climate makes a difference. Thank you so much for your comment!
