Invasion of the Bun-Buns

That I had been invaded was evident when I woke up and faced the window.

But I did not feel afraid.  To the contrary, I sat up, blinked and said, “What are you all looking for?”

The bunnies began to hop excitedly over to the bed.  They were all talking at once.  “We want to go outside!  We want to go outside!”

“Well…  Oh, okay, I’ll take you outside.”

Oh my, the squeals of bunny delight!  The bunnies danced in circles!  “We’re going outside!  We’re going outside.”

So I took the bunnies out to the bright green grass where they danced some more.  They had a little bunny picnic.  They sang some bunny songs.

All was, and is, well at Rose Cottage.

  • No fair! I’ve been invaded by ants. I’ve been invaded by children, I’ve been invaded by junk mail… I want a BUNNY invasion!! :)

Tell your mom that the gal who spins has admired you artsy ladies from afar for a long time…

    Blessings, Debbie

  • happy bunnies! so just WHAT does a happy bunny SING? ;)
they ARE beautiful in the sunshine, but i LOVE them lined on the windowsill. lol.

  • Oh, wow. Debbie, what a compliment! Thanks so much. Can’t wait til my mom sees the link and this comment! :) And you may have your own bunny invasion one day. I want a wool addiction! LOL.

  • April, aren’t they cute all lined up! They sing bun-bun songs. I’ll be sure and put a bun-bun song in the book. :)

  • Jen

    A windowsill, full of whimsy…..
What must the neighbors think? One of Santa’s own, or certainly something akin…bringing forth bunnies, a whole windowsill full. Life’s ordinary moments punctuated by the memorable. That pale lilac bun-bun does bear a striking resemblance to my dear childhood friend, Lillian, the lilac bun-bun who accompanied me through many happy days.
You bring much hoppiness to many….

  • Dear Lynn,

The darling bunnies~ How nice of you to let them out on the lawn! I’m sure they’re much better-behaved than the real kind. :)

I received my May/June issue of “Victoria” the other day, and saw that North Carolina was mentioned. Have you seen it?

    Love,

    Marqueta

  • They are darling…and very mischievious…your bunnies! I cannot seem to comment on my blog. My settings look correct, and I try different ways of posting..so here is what I was trying to say…
Thanks lynn! You are so sweet to encourage me….your blog is my inspiration. I can’t even remember how I found your blog….and yes…organizing the house…years ago an older neighbor showed me how she was organizing…and I thought “how boring”. ha. What kids can do to your senses! And your dog, annie, rolling…so familiar! love, andrea

  • Oh, Jen, you are too sweet! I am going to make another lilac colored bun-bun, so just “hold your horses,” as my dad used to say. It will be brighter. There is also a gray bun-bun hanging around my art desk. :) I have always thought it would be fun to be a toy-maker elf at the North Pole.

Marqueta, yes, the bunnies were over the top with excitement! And, no, I don’t have that issue, though it is on my to-do list. I have to say, I’ve been counting pennies now that I am establishing a Lynn-is-on-her-own budget, so I have made myself not look at that new Victoria cover, but I just got paid so I might be able to look now! :D I love those magazines and keep them forever, so it’s worth it.

Andrea, you’ll figure out what it is. Mine won’t let me comment if I am not signed in, but it sounds like you are signed in. Thanks for your kind words! Now you are inspiring me with your blog! :)
