Fairy Clothes (Mama, Where Are My Pantaloons?)

If you commune with garden fairies (as I do), then you need to wear fairy clothes.

I’m just sayin.

I wear fairy clothes so often, I got my fairy wings at some point.  You can only see them in the magical forest.

Now, mama, I know you’ll be reading this, and I know you don’t want the Head Fairy of the Magical Forest to demote me to wingless, so I need my new pantaloons.  These have been worn a thousand million times.

Oh, what are fairy clothes?  Bright.  But soft.  Fun.  Layers.  Lace.  Leggings or pantaloons are best, for jumping over mushrooms and streams.  Ballet flats or flip-flops are ideal.  You can run in flats if you need to hide quickly and you can kick off flip-flops so easily if you decide to climb a tree or do some wading.

Dress above — from consignment shop.  White T with lace on sleeves and down front — 3 dollars, thrifted.   Pantaloons – my mama made them.  (Mama?  Pantaloons?)  Fairy brooch – handmade.

Fairy background – I am sworn to secrecy.

Enjoy this day.

  • Lynn…you look lovely :) I do so enjoy pantaloons, and like you I wear them under my skirts and lately, I have begun wearing them with nice tunics.

But seriously, like Connie expressed in the comment above, your hair is just lovely. And so is that pin you are wearing :)

We are all a very nice encouraging society here in your lovely space…Have a blessed weekend.

  • again, very pretty. you wonder why people would consign these clothes and not keep them! Plus, it would be hard to find something so pretty these days at a mall or something. I like flip flops for kicking them off, going outside and back inside! love, andrea

  • Dearest Lynn, Chief Fairy Clothing Designer,

You’d better not leave your windows open at night, or some sprite might take away your dainty duds! :) I love the GW fashion shows; keep them coming! And my, you could audition for Rapunzel and be sure to get the part!

I hope your mama has time to make some pantaloons soon (My mama is supposed to make some for my girls, too, and we’re still waiting).

    Love,

    Marqueta

    • Marqueta, If the sprites are who I think they are, I would be honored to have them visit, and would probably leave with them. ;) Ahhh, pantaloons! Where are everyone’s pantaloons??? ;)

  • Connie, LOL, well I do remember Cher’s hair and her hair was pretty long! Thanks. ;) I have never had a GW coupon!! There is a store locally that does coupons. I need to go over and use mine!! Oh, the technical stuff. Well, I just learned a little at the time. xoxo

Maria, thanks so much! I do appreciate the encouragement, and yes, I agree about the overall feel of our little on-line society! It is a garden of friendships. :)

Andrea, I know! I find things donated — even family photos, etc., and it makes me wonder about circumstances that cause the donations. Thanks for visiting!

Will be out to make my blog rounds soon! I so wish I could visit everyone more often! Sigh. Today is a work day for me, in spite of the holiday. :D

  • I always knew you were a sprite! Cute, cute, cute… And what a photo. I hope that you are framing that one. It’s too good to just leave hanging here in cyber space.

    Blessings, Debbie
