GOTCHA!

Do you love this little Fatso Beagle as much as I do. Look at her dainty little paws and her wild eyes! That’s my Annie! She was all decked out in her sweater today for our walk. She exchanged nose kisses with another Fatso Beagle in the apartment complex. She barked at two big dogs. She ran after (and pulled me along) a dog out jogging with its owner. What a fun day for Annie.
In WORLD TRAVEL NEWS I’ll be trotting the globe tomorrow, as in out and about all day, so I will likely not get to post in the morning (THURSDAY MORNING) as per my usual. So I am checking in now to say to you a sweet North Carolina g’night and to ask you something.

What if I did a tutorial on hairstyles? Like a real honest-to-goodness video showing how to do a hairstyle. I am sort of liking this one I had going on today. What say ye? Yay? Nay? Would you like hair tutorials?
Anyway, gives me something to think about. And you too, for that matter. Not that we don’t already have loads of STUFF in our heads.
Talk soon.

for you to leave a comment, but you can also e-mail me at lynn AT thehealthyhomeschool.com

Lynn, I would love a hair tutorial! My hair is not as long as yours, but it is straight and I unfortunately have to color it as my hair is very black with white in the front. The black at 54 completely washes out my skin, so I color my hair a reddish medium brown, and I am thrilled to say it does give my pale skin a hint of color. But.. I need some hairstyles besides down. Thanks in advance if you decide to do hairstyling! Have a happy Thurday – XOXO Terry
Hey Terry! I hope you will like the tutorials! I am happy to say that I am already working on one this evening! Yay! I have bits of gray coming in around my temples and over my ears. Not too many, but boy these hairs have a mind of their own! They are much more wiry than my dark hair! I hope your Thursday was LOVELY! xoxo Lynn
Sure, go ahead. My daughter has long hair, so I can show it to her. love, andrea
Dear Andrea, I will do it! Thanks for stopping by!! xoxo Lynn
Dear Lynn,
Of COURSE we want a hair tutorial! Then we can hear your sweet Southern accent.
My hair ends up being in a braid most days, as the pins and clips I use head south when I put it up.
Love,
Marqueta
Dear Marqueta, I hope everyone does not run when they hear this *sweet* Southern accent. LOL.
And I know what you mean about braids and clips and pins. Sigh. I think our hair is similar in nature. Lots of stuff and styles slide right out of my hair too! Love, Lynn
I think that would be fun…I am such a HAIR DORK I need all the help I can get…
I would love to see some fun styles with shorter hair too, since I just cut all mine off about 3 months ago…
C~
Hey Carrie! I will see what kind of styles I can come up with, though I am not sure how much short stuff I can come up with!! Are you liking your shorter hair? It’s good to hear from you! xoxo Lynn
Why yes! A hair tutuorial would be just the thing! How exciting.
I am always inspired by your sense of fashion, how you put things together and accessorize too.
Can’t wait!
I was challenged by your recent shorter skirts. Can you give tips and pointers how to switch it up a bit?
Long skirts have been my modus operandi for seemingly forever. I cut my hair a couple weeks back and am loving it. Feel like I could use some tuning in wardrobing, but am unsure how to transition. Your imput would be appreciated.
Your friend and fan,
Yay, Jen, I have already begun working on one this evening! Cannot wait to see how it uploads to YouTube! Never have I done this before! I hope you all don’t run away after you hear my southern drawl! As far as shorter skirts and dresses, I am finding them easier to get around in, and leggings are the modesty factor here. They cover my legs and make shorter dresses seem not so short! I say around the knee looks good, and I also like a cut that flows if the dress is shorter. In other words, the shorter the dress gets, the less form-fitting I want it to be, at least on me. At my age, I feel like shorter and loose = cute, but shorter and tight = Lynn’s gone crazy. Maybe? LOL. Don’t forget layers and leggings! I am certainly not a fashion expert, but let me know if there is something in particular you are wondering about and we can look it up! Your friend, Lynn
dear lynn,
now, in my younger years, i had long hair. how fun it would have been to have had hair tutorials back then, but of course, computers were not the norm! but when i turned 40 i got my hair cut, colored, and highlighted – for the first time EVER. i think it was my way of turning the big 4-0 in style (and without gray hair)!! and since then, i cut it even shorter, so my hair is too short to do much with it, but i would still very much like to live vicariously through you and your hair.
and btw, i thought of you the whole 1 1/2 hours i spent perusing our local “GW Boutique” this afternoon. my boys take an art and a science class for 2 hours on thursday afternoons, and GW is only 2 minutes away. just bought a few shirts. nothing too exciting this time, but you never know. that’s the fun of it, right?
friends,
connie
Dear Connie, as I see gray hairs coming in here, I wonder, do I color or not. My tendency is not to at this point, but I totally understand why anyone would, and may put something on my grays. I don’t know. Anyway, I can relate! I love having long hair, though, and cannot imagine not working with long hair. I have just had long hair for a long time! LOL. I do think we hit a transition in our 40s, though, and it is nice. It’s hard to explain to people not here yet! I love it. Yes, there are things I’d do differently if I could go back, but for the most part, I am thankful for today and for where I am as a person. Your GW trip sounds like fun! I was near a new one today, but alas did not get a chance to go in. Your friend, Lynn
tutorials? absolutely!
Hey, Lesa! Thanks!!
