Dear Friends,
If just a couple of days ago it was “like spring,” then today is surely “like winter.” How can it be that we went from short sleeves and birds singing, to icy roads, pile-ups on I40 and delicate pink blossoms covered in icy snow? Oh yeah, I forgot, this is North Carolina.
I will admit, it’s pretty. But my hands are cold and I want to crawl back in bed.
Ah well. It is still February, after all.
In thrifting news, I went completely out of my comfort zone and ended up with a look that I really, really like!

It is SO not me, and yet I think it is me! And I was so glad I combed through the belts the last time I was at Goodwill. There was this fabulous red fabric Liz Claiborne belt. I was a bit surprised to see the tag on it said “Made in Japan.” I really don’t know much anything about where Liz Claiborne clothing is (or has been) made, but the only similar fabric LC belts I could find on line are marked “vintage.” Hmmm. But who cares? I just know I like it. Especially for a couple of dollars!
dress: Merona, thrifted, 4 dollars
Lots to do here today! It is a work day. I have a few important calls to make. The children are out today for President’s Day. We have snow. And coffee.
EnJOY this day!

Nice new header! Nice dress/belt! The snow missed us. You will probably bounce back to warmer weather this week, as we are supposed to get 60 degrees…you will probably even do better!
off to coffee myself! love,andrea
Yes Lynn- working away — our little fingers to the bones! I can’t believe .. are those cherry blossoms? Wow – however, blueberry bushes are in bloom here in the lower elevation. You look quite stunning as usual. Can you still work at your job if you move? We can work at ours if we stay in state, just not move out. I wish you a wonderful day and am looking forward to one day meeting the beautiful you in person! Love and Hugs Terry
Jealous of the snow. Have my own coffee!
Your new look is spiffy! Like it!
Happy Monday to you–
april
Andrea, thanks!! And for the weather, it has already melted here and the sun is out bright! Love, Lynn
Terry, I figured! Have fun! I am not sure what kinds of blossoms these are. It’s at the apartment complex and I am just not sure! But they are pretty, aren’t they? Thanks for your nice words. Yes, I will be able to keep working my same job. That’s definitely a good thing! Love and Hugs, Lynn
April,
