You Are A Doll!
By Lynn, on February 22nd, 2012
Dear Readers,
Happy Wednesday, albeit late in the day! My day began with a loud noise from the steering column on the van and will end with a night of typing to play catch-up and lots of work ahead for the van. Sigh. Guess I know where my tax return is going. but at least it is there to use!
While I was waiting on the van this morning (for three hours), I walked around an antique store. Ahhh, the dolls. Just thought I would share.

Enjoy this day!

About Lynn
Approaching-50 mother of four. Thrifter. Content with lots of clothes bought for very little money. Loves retro. (That could be styles from the 40s and 50s. And sometimes stuff even older than that. And sometimes stuff from all time, all mixed up together!) Bluffs about decluttering but secretly loves STUFF. Goes through stages. Has standing and staring spells before rearranging the entire home. Just because. Tune in each day to see what new outfit comes home from G.W. Boutique next. (That's Goodwill, by the way.) Oh, and she owns a spoiled beagle named Annie. And this blog.

My Symphony
To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not rich; to study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly; to listen to stars and birds, to babes and sages, with open heart; to bear all cheerfully, do all bravely, await occasions, hurry never. In a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common. This is to be my symphony.

Dear Lynn,
Oh dear about your van; I do hope that it stays fixed for a long while! The dolls are so sweet; we were just at an antique store, too, but it didn’t have quite so many sweet old dolls (it did have Raggedys, though).
Love,
Marqueta
p.s. I just realized I typed “Speak softly and wear a “bit” hat” on “le chapeau”, but you know I mean “big,” right?
p.p.s. I’m going to have to borrow “Treat yourself like the living doll that you are,” too!
Dear Marqueta, good morning! I had work done on the van yesterday (after looking for someone more reasonable than the locals) and have more to do next week! But I did get a lot done! I did see your antique-store pictures (think I left a comment)and it looked like much fun! Hope your day is great! Love, Lynn
PS — I owe you a quote you can use after you giving me so many!
Tax returns = God’s way of covering those unexpected expenses.
All of the old dolls remind me of my grandma. She loved dolls. I miss her so very much.
Oh, my mom loves dolls. She has quite the collection.
Wish I had my tax return again. It’s long gone.
