Oh, my, what a muddy mirror image (?) of what we have been talking about! Veering off the well-beaten pathway and how that is sure to bring changes! Thank goodness most of the changes for us have been positively positive! But yesterday, here in central North Carolina, we had a windy day with lots of storms predicted. Wouldn’t you know that the deluge hit at just the time we were out taking Michaela to a planned outing?

Yeah, folks, this is where we were driving. In the woods. Deep in the woods. Nothing marked. No real good place to turn ’round. Without warning, the driver, who shall remain nameless, put us right off the limestone gravel and down a slippery slope of wet pinestraw and into a deep valley of mud and muck.

Yeah. Really. Believe it. And the more the wheels spun, the deeper we went. Mud right up to the very axle. You know which shoes I was wearing (see previous post). Do you think I was gonna put those babies in this??? No way.

Thank goodness the stockings were a 25-cents Scrap Exchange pair. By the way, do certain parasitic worms come in through the feet? In the mud? Never mind. I do not want to know. Don’t say it!! I have my ears plugged! Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. What?? I can’t hear you!
Thank goodness for AAA. That is all I am going to say! And to the dear sweet friend who bought me my AAA membership: thank you thank you thank you. You made this situation work out A okay. Or should I say, AAA okay. (I just delight myself sometimes with my creative use of letters.)
As they say, all’s well that ends well. (Except for worms.)
In other current events, I wanted to share a picture with you of my bowling outing!
This is me after one of my many fabulous gutter balls! Don’t you want me on your team?

And I know it does not take much to entertain me, but I had just as much fun studying my feet as I did bowling. (Do you think there would ever be a situation to wear such shoes other than at the bowling alley?)
Last but not least, here are a few shots of the fabric in a new dress and a new fabric rose brooch.
Whatever you do, ENJOY this day.

Dear Lynn,
Eeks! I’m glad everyone was okay. And we were just talking about bowling, since we live 3 minutes from a bowling alley here and have never gone! Don’t you just LOOOVE the groovy shoes?
Love,
Marqueta
A very muddy time was had by all, it seems, and you especially dear Lynn! Glad you both were OK.
I have been catching up with you happily this evening. I must remember to put your blog on my list , then I’ll see when you post.
Lynn, you do make me giggle…:D, especially about the worms..hee hee
I have slight phobia of earthworms, but I don’t let it put me off gardening.
Will be back soon,
Hug to you,

Dear Andrea, I was very thankful for a good ending! AAA is definitely worth having! And the blah blah blah, I thought you might be familiar with that! I think all mothers are.
Love, Lynn
Dear Marqueta, Eeks is right! You would love bowling, I think. I really do like it a bunch, even though I am not very good at it. And yes, the shoes. Fun! Love, Lynn
Dear Alex, yes, such a muddy time! My oh my! I saw your other comment. Comments here are partially moderated and it just got caught up waiting for approval, but now that you’ve had a couple they should start going through without moderation! Thanks so much for dropping in and for your sweet comment! Ewwww, worms. Hugs, Lynn
