Little Birdies Everywhere

My Dear Friends,

This morning Miss AFB (that’s Annie Fatso Beagle, for those just tuning in) took a one-mile walk.  Oh, the sights!

The birds were already hearkening to us before we ever got out the door!  This little Carolina wren sat patiently, waiting for us to come out, so it could fly off and warn the loudly chirping audience waiting in the treetops.

There was a slight drizzle of rain at times throughout the morning, and then we got a heavy rain once we were nestled back into our snuggly home.  You can see a bit of moisture on the felt hat, above.  Timing is everything, as the Mr. says!  Lucky for us we picked the right time to walk; just a bit of dampness in the air for us.  We saw a beautiful great dane.  We saw a pitt bull who ran out to greet (?) us, barking.  Thank goodness for invisible fencing and that my step-daughter has a lovely way with animals and immediately told the pitt a firm NO.  This dog actually ran through the fencing, turned when Mae called out to it, NO!, appeared to get shocked and went right back through again and into its yard. Go figure.

I spy a sycamore tree.

I knew you all would just love to see all my bird friends!  Yes, they just land all over me, including my head, and hop around my feet.  Just call me birdie.  Or birdsong.  Or whatever!

It’s late.  It’s been a long work day.  I hate to pop in and post so little, but I am off to dreamland.

Enjoy this day!

    Dear Lynn,

I love the gray outfit with colorful tights! You’re such a fashion plate. :) We love Carolina Wrens, too, and are so glad we live where we can see them close up. They remind me more of mice than birds with their hopping around.

Dear Marqueta, thanks so much! You too! 😀 Aren’t the little wrens so sweet! They are very friendly; or at least they like to hang around human beans. :) Love, Lynn
