Yesterday was my day off, and where did the day go!? As the Mister would say, “Good grief!” I did enjoy the day, and I suppose I got a lot of things done, but it was one of those days that flew by, even though I did not feel that busy. I also did not get all of the things done that I wanted to. I didn’t exactly sleep well last night either, and I am not complaining, but I just cannot believe I am back to another work day today and still have a longer-than-usual to-do list. Ah well. I am trying to just be thankful to be alive, realizing that there will always be lots to do!
One thing I did enjoy, even though I did it in the rain, was getting over to a little town called Cameron, North Carolina, and poking around in a few antique stores.
I love my denim dresses, and have been wearing them lots!! Probably too much, but who cares! They are oh so comfy to kick around in!
Cameron is a very, very cute little town, known for its antiques. This particular store is amazing! It is set up beautifully and offers a collection of very fine antiques. The people are friendly. It’s just plain fun.
Some of these look like types of sphinx moths. Poor creatures.
I was so inspired to see all of these rooms. I am going to spend every break getting my house tidied up and pulling out things that make me happy, and getting rid of some of the useless clutter that just takes away from otherwise pretty surroundings.
Isn’t this amazing? Not sure what I would do with it, but I love the glass and metal together.
Old postcards. One of my many weaknesses. I only bought one (in this store), which I will share with you soon.
Seeing through. And reflections. If only life was so simple.
I will take one of everything, please.
Love the lighting and the glassware! And that sign! Would it fit in my house? Would it be a lie, though?
They have a downstairs with a little deli, and I did not even make it down there! Must go back soon!
I’ll have these floors too, please!
Lots of Victorian things.
Wish I could sit a spell, but it’s raining out. Again.
Got my toes in the sand. And I don’t mean in a good way.
