Changes.

There is so much going on for me right now.  I love the positive changes.  I am learning and studying something new; more later.  Just say it has been a long time since I had to really hit the books!

Barnes and Noble. My favorite study place. With coffee.

My sweet little shop, I believe, will soon be transitioning to only online. The complex where the shop resides is currently under contract to be sold. It could be months before anything definite happens, but I see change coming. I am feeling the need to be proactive and start transitioning everything before it turns into a “mad rush.” The shop has been a wonderful experience for me! It has been all I wanted and more in terms of learning and making a dream come true. I have always wanted a shop. I expect I will have one again in the future. If and when I do, I will be more equipped to set one up and run it successfully! I will miss the little garden in front of the shop when I close the doors for the last time.

Phlox beginning to bloom.

In cat news, Vlad continues to dominate the cat tower, although we did have major cat-clown activity today when Lucy stormed up to the top of the tower and then attacked Vlad who was resting on a lower level. He crept away to groom his disheveled fur after that. She was in rare form! If only I had known it was going to happen! I could have taken a video. I did manage to get one picture of Lucy leaning over her perch and looking down below. They were both so funny!

Lucy making sure Vladimir is well taken care of.

My work day is done for the day. I am off to practice this evening.

Enjoy this day,

Lynn

  1. Smart of you to think ahead and plan ahead! Our Barnes and Noble (before I moved…nothing classy like that here) had the Starbucks and they sold sandwiches and pastries/cupcakes from the Cheesecake Factory. (I suppose yours might). Good luck crack’in the books! I have a hard time putting on bifocals so I tend to not read much. (Just can’t get used to wearing glasses). xo xo Andrea

    1. Hi, Andrea! Yes, the BN here as that. Ahhh, I love to just sit in there and study and drink my coffee and people-watch! Way back when I was in college, the library was a favorite place. Books and studying were enjoyable to me. xoxo Lynn

  2. So excited for you. Wishing you the best on your new adventures. You will do great at what ever you do!
    Love you sweet cousin.

    1. Mama, thank you so much! And thank you for always being there for me and helping me through some of the darkest days of my life!
      Love you, Mommy! xoxoxo

  3. Hi Lynn, it is wonderful you have such a positive attitude to your upcoming changes. I hope you transition to an online shop goes smoothly.
    Adorable kitties!
    Take care.

  4. Lynn, I am so sorry to learn that you are going to be closing your store and transitioning everything to on-line. I know how much you enjoyed it there and how much you loved the garden out front. I wish you the best with everything. Please let me know when you have it all transitioned.

    1. Dianna, thank you so much! It will be a process. Right now I feel like several things in my life are in transition. It all feels good, but change is always stressful to some degree. I will let you know. xoxo Lynn

  5. I can’t wait to hear what you are studying. I’m in my last semester at University. I’ll get my Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology in May. 😀 Then it’s–hopefully–off to grad school.

  6. Sorry to hear that your sweet little shop may be closing. Good move to get the the change to online started while you have time to decide how best to do that.

Change happens inevitably whether we choose it or not. It’s sensible to go with the flow since it can’t be stopped or even slowed anyway and who knows what adventure/challenge will pop up right around that corner. Ultimately the shop might have stood in the way of taking hold of a new opportunity that you will want explore—–you just never know about these things.

    1. Hi, Victoria! Thank you so much for your thoughts! I agree, and it is encouraging to hear that from a friend. I will miss the shop if/when it closes, but the change does seem to be flowing into other things that are positive. xoxo Lynn
