Guitar Progress Video: Wrong One Right

This afternoon I did some practicing for an upcoming gig, so I figured I’d pull out the camera and get an updated progress video.  This is a Billy Burnette song that I first heard after Jason gave me one of Billy Burnette’s CDs.  I have soooo far to go in my playing!  Ugh.  I wish I could hit the 10,000-hour mark in a day, but alas it does not work that way. I’ll just keep practicing.

I am loving my Guild guitar, but it is a big guitar, a D-55 dreadnought. My right elbow has been hurting a bit, and I am actually wondering if it’s the size of the guitar. I guess time will tell. I would be extremely sad, except if it does not work out, well, it means more guitar shopping. 🙂 Of course, the elbow pain could also be from my desk job and using a mouse eight hours a day!

Early this morning, I met my oldest son, Daniel, for a big hug. He is going deep sea fishing over the weekend. I don’t care how big he is, he is Pooh Bear to me! We looked into the sun, #nomakeup #nofilter for a selfie! I love this child. In fact, I love all my children so much. It cannot be put into words, as all you mothers know. Daniel brought me flowers on Monday for Mother’s Day and they are all open today! So beautiful!

First thing in the morning, looking into the sun. No makeup, no filter, no coffee. Got a hug from my boy before he headed off to deep sea fish.
Lilies from my oldest son, Daniel, for Mother’s Day.

I am off, running into the weekend, with so much to do. As usual, I’ll open the shop. We are practicing for an upcoming gig. I would love to get a minute or two in the garden! We shall see. Have a good weekend, everyone!

Enjoy this day.

I haven’t commented for a long time – life has been extra crazy busy for me the past while & I haven’t always gotten to read your blog posts. I took a minute to do that today and so enjoyed your update.
I totally understand a Mother’s love for her kids – as they get bigger & more grown up, our heart just keeps stretching to love them more! Hugs, Arlys
